I was nervous at the start as I was new to CrossFit, but the foundations courses definitely made me feel more comfortable. I was also excited and saw it as a new challenge.What have you learned about yourself since you started?
That I never knew how much I could dislike an assault bike.How has Solace changed you?
It has changed my mindset. When you start the day attacking and accomplishing a task, that becomes a habit.
What impact has Solace had on your life outside of the gym?
I go to work everyday with a lot of energy after a workout. And it has made me more disciplined with time management.
What is your fondest memory of Solace?
Going to class on the day of last winter’s blizzard. The city was eerily quiet and Solace was rocking. Felt good to put in some work before going out to the local pub.
What is your proudest accomplishment at Solace?
Having solid Handstand Push Ups. I don’t like being upside down or kicking up on a wall. Now I don’t even think before doing HSPU’s.
Funniest Solace memory?
Greg’s jokes. What can I say, the guy’s got the jokes
Who has had the biggest impact on you and why?
All the 5am athletes and coaches. Everyone is there to start the day by putting in some hard work.
What is your next goal?
To have consistent double-unders. And never again short a box jump. Painful.
What is your favorite music to listen to in class?
Some good country music. Nothing too loud. It’s still early in the morning….
