Join the Solace family! Solace, a one-of-a-kind strength & conditioning gym, aims to exceed customer service and growth expectations with the hiring of a part-time Fitness Director. We are seeking a passionate, service-oriented, and hard-working individual with a positive attitude and love for fitness, education, communication, and networking. Applicants must be certified CrossFit trainers who are connected and active in the broader NYC fitness community. They must also be organized, efficient, sales-oriented, forward-thinking problem solvers with exceptional attention to detail.


Applicants Should Have:


  • An active CrossFit training certification (L1 or higher) and a current CPR/AED certification.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience in fitness/personal training.
  • Ability to work flexible hours remotely and in-person, with some in-person hours 6-9am on weekdays.
  • An interest in making fitness educational content.
  • A sales-oriented mindset.
  • The ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • A willingness to take initiative and perform duties without direction.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of personalities.
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google documents/sheets/forms.




  • Hold office hours 4 days a week 6am-9am at Solace to greet members, trainers, lead tours and complete administrative duties.
  • Offer an all-levels CrossFit class on a regular basis (frequency to be determined).
  • Offer or organize periodic free community workouts (frequency to be determined).
  • Conduct tours of the facility for potential members and trainers.
  • Track and follow-up with client leads.
  • Grow Solace’s Private Training program (actively recruit and onboard new trainers, increase private training revenue, etc.)
  • Manage Solace’s trainers, ensuring that all classes/sessions are booked, paid for, and regularly assist trainers as needed and make sure their required documents are up to date.
  • Manage programming and posting of our in-house CrossFit programming and club coaching.
  • Help procure/contribute educational/advertising content (member/client spotlights, how to videos, etc.) for our social media accounts (IG, Facebook, LinkedIn, Monthly Newsletter, Gym Flyers).

Required Language Skills: Fluency in English – ability to respond well, both verbally and in writing, to common inquiries from customers.

Pay: This position will offer a base salary of $2,000/month. As growth of our private training program is central to this position, additional compensation will be granted based on our monthly increase in private training revenue with an OTE of $4,500/month.
