part-time front desk associate

Applicants must be hyper-organized, efficient, forward-thinking problem solvers with exceptional attention to detail, and have a desire to get involved in the community. Experience in fitness either as a participant or a trainer is preferred.

 

What we are looking for:

  • At least 1 year of previous experience in customer service, front desk service, sales, or other related fields.
  • Ability to work weekday evenings in the 5pm-8pm range. Flexibility to work on some weekends is a plus.
  • The ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Willingness to take initiative and perform duties without direction.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work with a wide range of personalities.
  • Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Google documents/sheets/forms.
  • A sales-oriented mindset.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Embody the Solace culture and core values.
  • Answer and screen phone calls & emails.
  • Organize and restock the front desk display and supply inventories.
  • Assist members and staff with class bookings and inquiries.
  • Monitor club session bookings for accuracy.
  • Perform tours conduct membership sales.
  • Follow up with membership leads for conversion.
  • Monitor trainer documents for expiration/renewal.
  • Perform facility sweeps and assess hygiene station supply levels.
  • Respond to guest needs, requests, and complaints.

 

Physical Requirements:

Duties will require standing for long periods of time, daily walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, and reaching. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Required Language Skills:

Fluency in English: ability to respond well, both verbally and in writing, to common inquiries from customers.

 

Preferred:

  • Interest in or currently involved in strength & conditioning coaching.
  • Interest in career advancement in fitness management.
  • CPR/AED certification
  • Fluency in another language (Spanish, French, etc.)
